10 Things You Must Do When You Stay in Dartmouth

10 things to do in and around Dartmouth

In no particular order, here is The Crow's Nest list of things you really ought to try:

1) Visit Greenway, Agatha Christie's house now run by the National Trust

2) Take a ride on the local Steam Train

3) You simply must get on our beautiful river, so take a trip along the Dart to
    Totnes.

4) Walk along the South West Coast Path, it passes through Dartmouth!

5) Tour the Britannia Royal Naval College, this year marks their 150th
    anniversary.

6) Visit the Royal Castle Hotel for a meal or just a drink

7) Dartmouth now boasts the only Paddle steamer running in the country. You
you simply must try it while you are here, the Kingswear Castle. It was
    built in Dartmouth in 1924.

8) Take a leisurely stroll through Long Wood

9) No stay in Dartmouth is complete without visiting Dartmouth Castle

10) Another 'must see' is our historic Newcomen steam engine, the engine that changed the world!

The Crow's Nest, Dartmouth wins prestigious award!

Certificate of Excellence for 'Room Only' guest-house from Trip Advisor..

Great news today, we have been awarded a Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor.

Having invested a lot of time and trouble to ensure we offer great service to our guests it is smashing to be recognised for this. After all, this award comes about because our guests take the trouble to write great reviews about us. So a huge thank you to all our guests for their lovely comments, it means a lot to us. (this is now beginning to sound like an 'Oscar' acceptance speech, sorry)

Here is what our Award looks like:

Small but beautifully formed, I think you'll agree.

So if you would like to experience our 'excellence' (and new bathroom in Cabin 2) just give us a call, 07920 053580 or send us an email - info@crowsnestdartmouth.co.uk and we will do our best to accommodate you.

This ends the short 'blowing of our own trumpet' exercise. Hope you enjoyed it?
